Sleep Sensing - Nest Hub Gen2 - Problem connecting to cloud, please try again later.

I bought a google nest hub gen2 as an alarm and to track my sleep. 
Now i keep running into this problem where in the google home app when i try to turn on sleep sensing on my Nest hub gen2 it keeps giving me the error: "Problem connecting to the cloud, please try again later"


I've restarted my ISP modem/Wifi Router and looked at possible settings issues. But am unable to find any. 
Also rebooted my nest Hub multiple times, but without any effect. All other functionality works fine.

Can I please get some assistence?

Have you had any success? I'm having the same issue. Using Google Home on iPhone I get the "please try again later" message.... so I installed Google Home on my Android tablet and now the message flashes "Error enrolling device in sleep tracker free trial. Please try again."

Hi folks,

 

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Is the error happening on iOS and Android devices? Is this the first time setting up the Sleep Sensing feature or was it already active during the initial setup of your Nest Hub?

 

I know that you’ve done some troubleshooting already but, it would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

 

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply. Let me give you some more info.
I just bought the Nest Hub and installed it straight out of the box. I can only test on my IPhone and IPad, but both have the same error message.
The Nest Hub has finished all other installations properly and otherwise did not run into any issues. Only can't get Sleep Sensing to turn on.
 
Just went through a full reboot routine again, unplugging Modem and restarting modem while Hub was unplugged, rebooting Iphone and rebooting Hub...
The problem is persistent.

Device info:
System firmware: 324896
Cast Firmware: 1.56.324896
Laguage: en-GB
Automatic Updates: On

I am having the exact same problem as I also bought to nest hub gen 2 to track my sleep. As I am setting this device up, it keeps saying "Problem connecting to the cloud, please try again later". Can't believe nest hub gen 2 is having these kind of issues for new customers setting up.

This is my issue as well. Straight from the box. All other aspects worked perfectly. I have numerous Nest products (Hubs, Minis, thermostat) and am using a Pixel for all setups.

Sleep sensing is the only aspect giving me trouble. I also use a Fitbit integrated with Strava.
