Sleep timer not working

Arbee

I have been using my mini to listen to the radio with an instruction to play for 60 minutes. It has been working fine up until the last couple of weeks. It will play the radio as instructed and confirms it will switch off but it never does. Has anybody else experienced this or know how to solve the issue?

Hi @Arbee

Unfortunately there is no solution to this. This bug appeared a couple of weeks ago affecting everyone with the latest firmware (possibly). Google are aware of it and a fix is awaited, hopefully. Nobody knows when. The nearest thing that can be done is not a solution so not perfect but a kind of temporary workaround as follows in some circumstances.

Create a Routine on the Google Home app with a single action command of 'Stop Playing'. Additionally create a starter on the routine for when you want the routine to action of a set time of day, e.g. for instance at 22:00 or of course whatever time would be more suitable. Then the music or sleep sounds will stop when the routine activates at that set time every day or night. Not perfect but the best you can do until this bug is fixed.

It would be good to hear from anyone at Google support about any progress with resolving this

Hi folks,

Apologies for the inconvenience. Our team is aware about sleep timers that aren’t working for turning off music at the specified time and are still working on a fix. For news and updates about sleep timers, keep an eye on the recommended answer on the main thread. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to start a new one for I will be locking this thread after 24 hours.

Best,

Dan
