Because Google like to close down these threads within 24hrs, I will post my results rather then the issues.
Slow response times / no answers at all.
1. Have you changed your WiFi/network setup?
I moved to a mesh system and the problems weren't immediate but eventually the assistant got slower.
Turns out the mesh system I newly installed to boost my WiFi through my house and my ISP box, were both set as DCHP servers.
Have I lost you?
It means they were both assigning random addresses across my network and causing chaos. Too many cooks in the kitchen - I digress.
If this is your problem then setup your mesh system to bridge mode. This will make the mesh system an extension of the ISP box....
If you can get the ISP box to reassign all new IP addresses or delete the database it has - the Google assistant will back to its normal speed.
