Song quiz no longer working?

Hi, I used to be able to play things like the song quiz and the movie quiz on my nest mini. I hadn’t used it in a few months as I moved out and hadn’t unpacked it, but now when I ask it to play the song quiz it just says “sorry, I didn’t understand.” Has this feature been removed?

Yep... Unfortunately they removed a feature called conversational actions on June 13th of this year, which means games, third party linked services, etc are removed. This developer page gives details about it.

Conversational Actions is no longer available since June 2023. For more information, please visit our announcement page.

Things that you could do with phrases like “Talk to…,” for games, stories, and education, will no longer be available. You may notice this change across many of the devices you use Assistant with such as speakers, smart displays, and mobile phones.

Many popular Assistant experience won’t be affected by this change, such as:

• Answering questions
• Playing music and videos
• Calling
• Timers
• Smart home control
• Launching and controlling Android apps

I'm binning all my Google home stuff. Shame as I spent a lot on it but it's only got worse and worse. Half the time it doesn't understand and randomly without a prompt it will blurt out information that was never asked. Features are being removed and the system isn't getting better but worse. I'm switching finally to a more reliable product. I stuck with Google home but sadly it's time to give up on it.

Its a real shame that you removed such a well liked and fun feature as song quiz.  It helped a lot to get me and others thru the pandemic lockdown, and other times of stress.  Somehow I think the root cause of the removal was simply Google didn't make enough money from it.  How about proving me wrong.. tell me WHY song quiz was removed. And pkese, not some generic preprogrammed response..  pffft.
