Hi,
Issues started today. Every time I day "hey Google, play xxxx" it will day OK and then attempt to play from YouTube music but I then get "Sorry something went wrong".
All other voice commands are fine and can play from phone to device.
Powered off 60secs and back on, bit no change.
Internet is working fine.
Real pain.
Cheers

Hey everyone,
Thanks for bringing this up. I know how annoying it is if something is not working on your devices especially when it comes to playing music on your Google Home and Nest speakers or displays.
This seems to be related to the recent outage that happened with YouTube Music but should be resolved now. Please don't forget to refresh your device by rebooting it. If for some reason you’re still experiencing problems, please update this thread and let us know.
Cheers,
Muddi

I'm having the same problem, starting today. I tried a factory reset, rebooting, a new group for the device, and nothing works.

So, if I cast from my YouTube music phone app it plays and subsequent voice commands like Next song or Volume up works on the nest.
It won't start off by playing on its own.

I reset the nest from the beginning and that's what worked for me. Hold the center and do a factory reset and reload.

Got the same with both my nest minis. Tried rebooting and factory resets to no avail. Real annoying

Still happening on all my devices. Seems to be happening more and more recently. Google's got a major issue on their hands that they seem to keep making worse for people with older devices. Pretty clear they don't care as they're focusing on newer models.

Hello! My Google Nest Mini says "sorry, something went wrong, when you're ready give it another try " when being told to play some music (connected to Youtube Music premium account). The youtube premium subscription is active and I can play songs on the speaker when I select them on my phone. The issue comes when the speaker tries to play music by itself. I rebooted it a few times and did a factory reset, but nothing worked. I tried to connect Spotify account instead, and it worked really well. I mention that I bough it 2 months ago and it worked fine until now. What can I do?

I am having the same issue On 21 October, 2022. What the heck is wrong? My CD player never would pull this.

Facing same issue since yesterday. Spotify and other music services work fine. Casting audio through YTMusic app also works but Nest tells me "Sorry something went wrong" when I try to play music with voice command on YTMusic.
Tried,
Nothing works 😞

Same thing here. Reddit post:

This started happening the same day I get an email saying the Premium price is going up. Ironic.

When I ask my nest to play music on YouTube music, it gives me a white screen and tell me something went wrong and to try again when I’m ready. I do this, to no avail and it just repeats the message again. I’ve tried restarting it by unplugging it, found it from the app, nothing works. Any ideas on how to fix this? It’s rather annoying as I use my google to play music 90% of the time. It performs every other task just fine, and I can play music if I go though the google home app, but that renders the whole voice thing useless.

Hi, every time I ask my mini to play music it only tells me something went wrong. I’ve tried everything at this point. Factory reset, unplugging it and plugging it back in, completely logging out and restarting on my device by logging everything back in and nothing is working. Please help.
10-20-2022 08:23 PM
I'm having the same issues for the past month, its like it reached 12 months old and stopped working.
10-21-2022 02:05 AM
Having the same issue, any fixes yet?
10-21-2022 04:50 AM
No nothing yet sadly.
10-21-2022 02:56 AM
Also now having the same issue. 2 speakers and home screen all return the same "Something went wrong" when asking to play music via youtube music. If I play from app on phone, it's fine. If I then stream from my phone to home group (all devices) then it works and is fine. If I ask then error's out.
10-21-2022 04:51 AM
That’s what mine is doing.
10-21-2022 04:10 AM
Same issue as CJWill since this morning...

I’ve had my Nest audio for more than 2 years now, and this is the first time something like this has happened. Usually if an error pops up, I reset it and that’s that, but it’s not working still after resetting twice since this morning, and it just happened all of a sudden.
10-21-2022 05:21 AM
I’ve had mine for around 2 years also and just randomly yesterday it does this and I’ve done everything to try and fix it but it still not working.
