Speaker Group won't work with Google/Next Mini Included

I have an odd problem which I've narrowed down to one Google/Nest Mini.  When this Mini is included in a speaker group the group will not stream media reliably.  It stutters, pauses, and sometimes just stops playing.  At first, I thought it was a WiFi problem but I have other Nest Hubs connected to the same AP all in close proximity to each other.   I've also moved the Mini to other locations in the house with the same problem.  The size of the speaker group doesn't matter either.  2 speakers, 3 speakers, 10 speakers, with the Mini none of the groups work, w/o the Mini the groups work fine.  The only thing I haven't done yet is reset the Mini and rejoin it.  

Has anyone experienced this before?  If so was there a solution.   Right now my solution is to remove the speaker from any group but I'd like to have a speaker in its location.   

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for posting.

Sorry to hear about what you're experiencing right now with the speaker group setup. I also appreciate all the details you've shared and you pretty much done some steps to resolve this. Since reset is not yet done, can we try to reboot first your network by unplugging your router's power source for a few minutes? That way, we can also eliminate the congestion on your network since there are devices connected to it.
