I can't tell Google Assistant to play to a speaker group. Individually, each speaker works on its own. I bought 2 new Nest Speakers along with a Pixel Stand, because I thought my Google Mini might have been too old and caused the issue. Nope! I have deleted and recreated speaker groups. I can cast to them if I go to my phone and tell it to cast to the speaker group, it works. I don't want that. I want Google Assistant to play my music when I tell Google Assistant to play music to a speaker group. That was literally the selling point I wanted for my Google speaker home and Nest speaker devices. I don't want to grab my phone and play something. My phone playlist is set for when I'm traveling to work and such, and when I am at home, I want to just tell Google Assistant to play music to a speaker group and not just repeatedly tell me, "something went wrong" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Fix your Google Assistant for speaker groups. Seriously, or give us refunds for purchasing a product for an intended feature, and denying it.

Hi Amishruss,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Nest speakers. Before we start some steps, a few things I'd like to confirm:
If you have 3 or more Google Nest speakers set up, let's try first to move the speakers closer to each other as well as the router so we can eliminate the issue about the distance. After that, unplug the router from the power source for at least a few minutes and let's see if this step would make any changes to its behavior.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Princess

How many Google Nest speakers are set up in your network?
3 speakers, but had the same problem when there was just two. Initially, was a Pixel Tablet on the stand (yes, the tablet was on the stand) with a Google Mini. I disconnected the mini and have the Pixel stand plus two Nest Speakers. All three are within the same room as the router and on one speaker group. I have deleted and recreated the speaker group several times.
How many speaker groups have you created in the same home structure?
1 speaker group, I've deleted and created ones, but only one is active
How far are the speakers away from each other and from the router?
15 feet at most
I've restarted my router and nothing has worked with resolving this issue for voice commands. All work independently if stand and talk directly to one for voice command, and they all work if cast from my phone.

Hey there,
Thanks for trying the steps. Could you try to move it closer to the router and from other speakers? We just want to make sure that this is not an issue with its distance. Lastly, let's make sure that these speakers are not included in other speaker groups in any home created.
Let me know how it goes.

Princess

No, that did not work. I can have one or two speakers on the speaker group in a freshly created speaker group. Every time I say, "Ok Google, play (whatever the current name of speaker group I've made, because I have created and deleted many, and they all do the same thing)," I get the same exact response from Google. "Something went wrong." EVERY SINGLE TIME! No matter how many of my three devices on are the speaker group, it will NOT work via voice command. NOT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!! Each speaker individually works, if I go right to those speakers and tell them to play music, without adding the speaker group. Include the speaker group, and "SOMETHING WENT WRONG!!" If I go to my phone, bring open my YouTube music app, and have it cast, it works on the speaker group. But it WILL NOT work with voice commands telling it to play on the speaker group. Fix your speaker group system!
And once again. This has been a Google Mini with a Pixel Tablet on the dock station. I replaced the Google Mini with two BRAND NEW Nest Audio speakers, because I thought the Google Mini was older and causing the issue. I have done all sorts of configurations with one speaker one tablet on dock station, two speakers one tablet, two speakers no tablet, one speaker only for speaker groups. I have deleted and created new speaker groups. All of them are deleted at this time, because your speaker group system is broken and I am tired of it. Fix it. That is literally why I bought the speakers to create a speaker group.
