Speaker volume low for music fine for assistant,

heyheywhat
Community Member

I have speakers that started to play music volume low.  This is regardless of the source including a cable plugged into a home max.  Please note with volumes set to max the music volume is low.  This is not how its supposed to function.  However the assistant with the volume still set to max will sound loud.  So what can we take away from what i just wrote.  Volume of device set to max = low music volume.  Volume of device set to max = extremely loud home assistant voice.    This has been tested casting from android phone and a web browser connected via cable to home max.

Thanks,

Hi heyheywhat,

We’re sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with the volume of your devices ― let’s check it out. It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers and all others. Plug them back in after 3 minutes. Afterwards, let’s isolate further by testing just your Google Home Max without anything connected to it and let’s see the difference.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan
