Noticed this morning that when I asked the assistant to "tell me the news", it started playing some stock list it selected, comprising of reuters tv, fox news, cnn, cnbc, and etc. The Google Assistant ios app still plays the configured/selected news sources but all of my displays and speakers are broken as above. Pls. investigate why this happened and fix it as soon as you can - I don't want to throw my Nest hardware away and this bug makes these devices worse than useless.

The same thing happened to my devices yesterday as well.

Several restarts and even factory resets have not helped. Removed all news sources from selection list and devices still play Reuters, Fox News, etc. Home app on phone works as it should, but Home Mini devices won't. Very. very frustrating.

Can you try asking it to "play my news" (instead of "play the news" or "tell me the news")?

unfortunately that did not result in any noticeable change of this behavior - it started playing "Reuters TV" instead of from first defined news source.

I can confirm that after re-adding my news sources in the home app, the speakers now play these sources instead of the default 'sources'.

My selected news sources began playing correctly on Saturday as well. Thank you for the assistance.

Thanks Princess. I previously shared that my Google speakers began playing the correct news feeds on Saturday. They're still working as they are supposed to.

That doesn't seem to make any difference. Also, my Nest Mini now thinks it's in Yonkers NY and doesn't want to change it's location even after making sure it's allowed access to personal information. Even another factory reset doesn't help.

OK, this is really upsetting us. The last thing we want is Fox news, Google, what the hell is going on?
