Speakers no longer answer simple tasks / questions

I use three different kinds of Google speakers, the original, mini and nest.   over the past year they have stopped answering the quality of many questions but still gave results just they got more and more generic. recently it cannot even answer it's simple questions such as “ when is the sunset”  I have tried disconnecting them and even reformatting them and adding them like a new to my system. I've learned by watching what many others have posted that this is not a problem I am having alone.  is there some big update that's going to redo and fix all this because my speakers have become useless as smart speakers at this point it is very frustrating and I feel like I've wasted hundreds of dollars over the last  years

For the issue with the generic answers, we can try checking the quality of your activity audio recordings. To do so, please follow these steps:

To check audio recording in My Activity:

• Open the Google Home app and tap Settings.
• Under "Home features," tap Privacy.
• Verify that the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display.
• Select Home activity.
• Identify the most recent command that generated a failed response.
• Select Details below the Assistant Query (this will expand the details).
• Tap the Play button on the query card to confirm what the speaker or display heard at the time the issue occurred.

Sometimes my speakers can't even understand the command to increase or decrease the volume. The other thing that baffles me is when you ask it a question and it replies " I don't have any information about xxx " then asks if you want to know about the exact thing you have just asked!
