Hi I’ve been having this issue for quite some time and seen other threads but nothing seems to be working.
I had the same issue on my Lenovo smart clock and thought it was a Lenovo issue so I bought the nest hub 2nd gen.
Here is the issue: I am able to play Spotify on my devices perfectly fine. The issue arises when my alarm goes off. It plays the default sound rather than playing the selected playlist. I know that when it was Lenovo there was nothing that could be done but now it’s doing the same on a Google nest device so hopefully something can be fixed. It’s been happening to me for about 6 months.

Hey Style154,
Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.
A few questions: what country are you located in? What's your default music provider? Do you have a premium subscription? Also, what's the exact command you've used in setting up your media alarm?
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Alex

Hi there,
im in the US, I have premium (duo), I have Spotify as my default. The command I’m using is “hey google set music alarm” it asks for the time then what to play and I say “—— playlist on Spotify” I have also tried albums and even certain songs with no luck

Hey Style154,
To confirm, are you having the same issue when assigning an individual song for media alarm? Have you tried to use a different music service provider to see if you will experience the same issue?
Cheers,
Muddi
