Please excuse the question, I tried to throw in enough keywords to help others that may be having the same issue. The issue: when I'm in my vehicle using Spotify, someone at home will ask a Google home to play a song on Spotify. When this happens, the music in my vehicle stops, indicates that Spotify is being used by another device (a recent update in Android Auto) and I then have to re select what I was listening to. It's a constant back and forth between myself and whoever at home is unknowingly trying to listen to music. There is currently no solution other than unlinking my Spotify account from Google home, and then relinking it when I want to listen to music at home. I have a family Spotify plan with 4 different accounts. I should be able to assign each Spotify account to a specific Google home( dependant on user). If I could do that, it would solve this issue. There is currently no option to do this per each Google home or for that matter, I can't even assign one specific Spotify account to all the Google homes. Android auto is supposed to be a convenience app and also decrease my involvement with my vehicles infotainment system. So technically its a safety issue as well. Google, we are too technologically advanced to be having bugs like this in the software and lack of customization per device. It's a Google "home", a home can have one person, or twenty people. We as the consumer should be able to assign each Google home it's own accounts on whatever third party compatible services we have. Please take the time to read this. To clarify, if I have 4 Spotify accounts and 4 Google homes, which I actually have 6, I should be able to assign Spotify account 1 to Google home 1 and Spotify account 2 to Google home 2, etc.

Hey Cameron,
Thanks for reaching out and that certainly hasn't been easy for you.
Since you have a Spotify family premium plan? Did they link their own Google and Spotify account to your Google Home devices? You might also want to make sure Voice Match is set for each user.
Best,
Alex

There is not an option to link individual Spotify accounts to specific Google homes that I am aware of, and yes voice match has been set up, but shouldn't matter if I could set a default Spotify account to a specific Google home

Hey Cameron,
Got it. How many accounts are linked on your Google Home devices? You can only link one Spotify account per Google Account. So you need to ask your family member to link their own Google Account to your devices so that they can also link another Spotify account.
Hope that helps!
Thanks,
Alex

Ok, I understand. Are there plans to upgrade the system to allow one Google account to be linked to multiple Spotify accounts?

Hi Cameron,
We don't have any news to share when that option will be available, but you can send feedback on your device or on the Google Home app.
Best,
Alex

Well, it doesn't sound like there is a solution currently for the issue.
