My Google Homes have been connected to the same Google account for the entire house since we bought our Homes years ago. I have multiple accounts connected to my Spotify Family plan.
Until this morning, I have been able to successfully, without fail, access said multiple Spotify accounts with said single Google account. I started my daughter’s music on her speaker on one Spotify account before bed last night and my sounds on my speaker with a different Spotify account (again, same thing I have been doing forever).
At 4:15 EST this morning, I was awakened by the sound of the Alphabet song on my speaker. When I tried to reconnect to
her speaker and play it there, then switch back to mine again with the second Spotify account, it kicked the first account back out and again I had the irritating sounds of
the Super Simple Songs on my speaker.
I contacted Google Support. They sent me a link that stated each Google Home device must be connected to a separate Google account in order to use streaming services, such as Spotify Family.
I tried to make this post as clear as possible so I apologize if it seems convoluted.
Any thoughts? Anyone else suddenly dealing with this nonsense?
