Stop google answering back

How to stop google speaker from answering after requesting a light to turn on or off. I don't need the response 'turning on ...'  In the USA I get a response, but in Canada there is just a chime sound.

I'd like to know as well! This is annoying especially at night when I want it to be quiet.

Thanks for reaching out. For now, there's no option to turn off the response of Google Home/Nest devices when turning off/on the lights. Some smart devices do not support the chime sound response from the speakers, but we're always looking for ways to improve. We'll take this as feedback and pass it along to the team. I also suggest that you send feedback using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," or by following the steps on this link.
