I've had 3 google mini's that seemed to go into a death spiral of constantly failing after I give an action.
They said "Sorry there was a glitch" or "Something went wrong try again in a minute".
First of all something breaking is annoying, but it also makes you repeat yourself and half the time it may not work a second time. Don't people have kids if they want something that talks back but doesn't listen? I didn't know these things needed user maintenance.
I don't have the time or patience to 'repair' these things. I am not going to make any phone calls to fix them or wait on any line while people do 'troubleshooting' or dive into my network settings since my network is working fine, these things are the problem. 3 of them have done this, they're in the garbage and I'm not replacing them because the hassle of interaction and of all the 'user maintenance' they require.
