I have seen another thread where they say that the solution is to deactivate IPv6 on your router or access point.

I also find that there are more tags to be added to this as I am having the same issue with Sonos One speakers so it is not only with Google Nest. If I configure Alexa on them it works fine and my mobile phone on the same network also works fine (somtimes my phone replies ok and at the same time my Sonos says there was a glitch please try again in a few seconds).

This is clearly an issue with Google Assistant and not with the devices themselves. I don't know how it is triggered as it was working fine and suddenly started happening.

I will not deactivate IPv6 but if there is no fix, I'll configure Alexa to fix the issue.

Would be good to hear from Google about what is causing this anyway.

Do NOT deactive the IPv6.  Doing so disables the WiFi 5g (which is the fastest connection speed)!  Google needs to "man up" and FIX this issue.  STOP passing the buck by directing us to our internet provider service or Router Manf.  It's a google product we paid for, google needs...NEEDS to fix this issue either by updating the software or replacing the product.  I am very upset with this issue!

Same issue here, as with many others, as I can see from many similar threads. This has got to a point it is annoying to use my Google Homes/Nests since it is constantly saying there is a problem every other time I speak a command. It seems like this has been going on for a whole year now; time for a **bleep** fix Google!
