Trying to use Google Assistant to set alarm on Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen)

Gizmo

I am trying to figure out how I can set an alarm using my voice on my Google Nest Hub(2G).

I can say

[Me] OK GOOGLE, SET ALARM

[G] When is the alarm for?

[Me] Set alarm for 6 am

[G] Sorry, I wasn't able to set that alarm. Try again in a few minutes.

So why can't I set an alarm like I can talk to my Alexa device to set an alarm? I know I can tap the screen to go through the motions to set it up. But I want to do it hands-free. Is this impossible with this Google Hub? Do you mean Alexa is smarter??

Hi Gizmo,

Can you try and reach Google My Activity and filter by the product 'Assistant' and see if what you are saying is matching up to with what the Assistant is hearing.

Sometimes this can happen when there is a poor network connection, as the device is connection-based. Try to restart your device and see if that resolves the issue - just unplug it from the wall, wait 30 seconds, and try again.

Let me know if this is of no help.

Thanks,
