TuneIn Radio gone?!

For the last few weeks was I ask Google Home to play a radio station (specifically Gaydio, powered by TuneIn) the speaker advises “can’t on this device”. Checked app on my phone (iPhone 13) and TuneIn no longer listed - Spotify; Deezer etc. I bought the speaker mostly for internet radio

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

 

A few questions: did you try playing other radio stations to isolate? What are the troubleshooting steps you did so far? 
 

Try to reboot your Google Home and see if it will make a difference.

This problem is YEARS ongoing. CBC radio works sporadically, if ever. In before they lock this thread from replies too, because of a "solution" posted.

Thanks for bringing this up to us and I’m sorry you have that experience. A few things: Are other radio stations working? Which Nest speaker

 

If this is isolated to just one radio station we suggest for you to contact the radio station themselves otherwise, do a full reset on your Nest speaker or display to check if it will make a difference.

I completed a full reset this morning and reconnected to the Wi-Fi - problem persists which is extremely frustrating. TuneIn radio used to selectable on the Google Home app, but no longer

Hi RobbP,

 

I know how it feels when something's not going your way. I do need a little more patience from you because I need you to access this link, Listen to radio. There are steps there that you need to follow since doing the factory reset didn't work. Also, to set your expectations, our Google Home/Nest devices rely heavily on other parties to function. In the past few years there were also changes from radio stations that have, in some way, affected Google but nevertheless, we are constantly working on ways to make it easier for you, our customers. Give it a go.

Not fixed unfortunately - when requesting to ‘play Gaydio’ speaker says ‘I can’t that here, try one of your other devices’ - but same result.
