Hello: I wanted to ask the community for assistance in turning off a feature that we don't know who we set up on our Nest Hub. I took a video of what we are seeing but I don't know how to share it. Thus, I will just have to describe the best I can what is happening. So back in Dec 2023/Jan 2024 I setup something very cool on our Nest Hub. Basically, at 6:30PM every day our Nest Hub will play an announcement that says "Turn on the Heater". The hub literally says the words "Turn on the Heater" and it is accompanied by a little music and nice animation on the Nest Hub. This worked really well as it reminded my 80's year old Mom to turn on the heater in her bedroom so it would be nice and warm when she goes to bed. So this was great in Winter, but now in Summer, we want to turn this off but for the life of us cannot figure out where we set it up. I checked on the Hub itself, in my Google Home App... anywhere and everywhere and just don't know where to turn this off. Right now, it still plays this message at 6:30pm and we would love if someone can assist us with how to turn it off.

I know that remembering your mom with this announcement is something that definitely makes you feel warm, it looks like you are having some inconvenience with daily routines with your Nest Hub. Let me share the steps to manage your routines so you can do any change based on your needs.
Please try those steps and let me know if you were able to get this fixed or if you have any other questions.

Thank you so much for helping me on this but alas this "Routines" thing did not work. I think we are very close, though, as I see there is an option in Routines to "Broadcast". This seems like a Broadcast but I can't find it in any of my Routines I have set up...I checked each one. I even checked the LOG and I see a lot of entries from our NEST Thermostat but no activity log showing the HUB had a broadcast.
Were you able to see the video in my original message?
Any other ideas would be welcome.

Thanks for the reply.
Since you couldn't locate anything related to this notification in your routines, I suggest doing the following to try and turn it off:
Looking at your video, it seems this is a reminder. If that's the case, you can try deleting it by using voice commands as well. You can say something like "Hey Google, delete reminder to turn on the heater." If you don't have any other reminders in place, you can try saying "Hey Google, delete all of my reminders."

Oh Angel...thank you so much for helping me with this. I really thought we would have had it and I loved the idea of just asking Google to delete all my reminders. I kept my fingers crossed that that would have worked but alas all I got from my HUB was "If you just ask to delete a task there are none at the moment". It is weird it wanted to delete a task when I said Reminder. I did Tap "Never show proactively" based on your instructions above.
Thus, I am still having this "Reminder" coming up every day at 6:30PM.

The good news is, our Nest support team deals with these kinds of things all the time. They have some advanced tools and a deep well of knowledge about your specific issue. They'll be able to take a closer look at what's going on and get your device back up and running in no time.
I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I truly believe our Nest support team is your best bet to get your device working again.

Thank you so much Josh. I appreciate the kind and compassionate response. Yes, I will certainly use that form and see if the NEST Support team can assist me with this. At the end of the day, it is not the worst problem to have it is just weird that we hear this message at 6:30pm every day....haha in about 6 months we will want it to be turned back on as my Mom will want that reminder to turn on the heater! 🙂 Thank you again Josh.
