Turn off repeating notification

davidbrooksio

Hi, I have a Google nest mini (gen 2) speaker. When I got it I set something up to remind me to set off for rugby every Saturday at 9 am. The problem is that I can't turn it off. I don't have any alarms set up or reminders so I don't know what to say to cancel it.

The sound is almost like a "ring ring" followed by "set off for rugby"

If anyone has any ideas as to what I have set up then I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you.

Try, "Hey Google, please cancel all reminders."

Or.

"Hey Google, please cancel all timers."

Or maybe it's an alarm, so you can make that the command to cancel it outright.

When a timer or alarm goes off, you can say "Stop" to turn it off. It kind of sounds like you've set-up a recurring alarm or timer.

Hi all

I tried this but she tells me I have no reminders. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Hi davidbooksio,

Thanks for the update! Just confirming, is your device is still saying the 9 am rugby notification?

I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot this issue. Could you check to see if you have any routines set up?

Please keep us updated, thanks for your patience!

Hi, yes it is, every Saturday. "Bring bring, set off for rugby". Its not the end of the world, I'd just love to know what I've done.

Hi davidbrooksio,

Thanks for your reply back. No worries! Let's try this last troubleshooting step.

  • Could you do a Factory Data Reset on your device?
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.

With a Factory Data Reset, your device's data will erase, and this should erase the repeating notification.

I look forward to your response, thanks for your patience!

Sorry, I should really read the post before replying!

It seems that I have no routines set up.
