Unable to link Nest to Home

I just recently purchased and installed my Google Nest Doorbell but I am unable to link it to my Google Home. Whenever I try to link it it asks for my Nest email and password but when I signed up for Nest I did it through my google account. Any ideas on why this might be?

Which model of doorbell do you have?

• Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen)
• Nest Doorbell (battery)
• Nest Doorbell (wired, 1st gen) also called Nest Hello

Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) and Nest Doorbell (battery) are both setup natively in the Google Home app following the steps below, you don't need the Nest app for those models. You only need the Nest app for the older 1st gen Nest Doorbell (wired).
