Unable to stream radio station

Why can we no longer listen to radio app. When asked to stream Gippsland Gold or 3AW Melbourne, it says it is streaming but it’s not happening. This was never an issue before, suddenly unable to get. Can someone please tell me why and how to rectify

Google Home has just released an update which I have installed and I am still unable to stream 3AW.

I have resorted to my little battery operated transistor which I have for power outages/emergencies. Using the App on my phone is not possible as I need my phone for calls.

So much for technology.

Thanks so much for your reply. It’s so annoying, we have also resorted to plugging in an old radio or using an old battery transistor radio. At least it seems it’s not just me! Thanks heaps! Good luck to both of us! Cheers!

I am having the same problems in the Sydney area. It started a couple of days ago with me not being able to play 2GB on my nest hub max. Now today I have the same problem across all devices.

I asked Gemini and received this reply:

Problem: The issue is a bug in a Google firmware update (version 28.20250723.103.2100 is often cited) that affects the playback of certain radio streams on Google Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max devices.

The fix won't happen until mid November. It would be good if Google proactively told customers of problems so we didn't have to search around.

This started with Hubs and has now spread to Nest Mini. Seems to affect all stations owned by Nine Network.

I have the same issue in Melbourne 3AW I dead silent. We had this happen last year and was out of action for a long time due to some argument Google was having. Might be time to move away from Google.

YES! I noticed that too! YAY! Unfortunately, Gippsland Gold still aren’t but 3AW is our next best option. Thanks so much for your reply!

Yes, confirming 3AW is back on both Nest and Hub. I assume it was a Google update that broke it, and has now fixed it.

I recently had issue with 3AW not working and after 2 days it came back, now out of the blue the radio has just stopped? When I ask Google to play 3AW it tells me that it is playing on Radio App but then silence. Last time I could at least get other stations but this time it appears to be a complete Radio App issue.

Oh, exactly the same issue with me AGAIN! It was good while it lasted..😣. We usually like to listen to Gippsland Gold but are happy to listen to 3AW. G.Gold did come back but would only last no more than an hour or less, so we gave up and was happy to listen to 3AW. As from this morning, PING! , completely gone again. So bloody ANNOYING! Oh yes, I did try and get 3GG, which we were still able to get before but, this time, no go… so nothing! Thanks for your latest post, keep me updated if you have any luck, and I will too. Cheers!

I’m having the same issues in Melbourne with all my faves fox fm first and now kiss fm and nova!!! So annoying!! It says it’s playing and it’s not sooo frustrating
