Video calls between 2 locations via internet using Google Nest Hub

Would like to use a Google Nest Hub for video calls. One would be at mom's senior living facility and the other my home. I would like to just say " place video call to mom " via internet to her Google Nest Hub, and she would acknowledge connection. And vice versa if she wants too videocall me, just say " place video call to son " or just " call son " totally automatic especially on her end.  Should have tried this when Covid lockouts were occurring. Can this be done, if so how and what version of Nest Hub is needed. Thank you.

The easiest way to do that would be to use Google Duo on a Google Nest Hub Max.
