Why are Google so so bad designing home devices that actually work?

Sorry to sound dramatic but I've never been so incensed as when I try and set up Google devices. I could not be more Google centric if I tried; Google WiFi, pixel phone, nest displays etc yet I'm not sure I've ever had a smooth setup. 

I am currently trying to set up my Nest hub Max, I think I am on my 4th reset and still no joy.

Mostly being greeted with " your nest hub Max was set up successfully but can't be found". They are on the same network and AP isolation is not on.

On the nest camera in the Google home app and it just refuses to do it. I really wish I had just invested in Amazon products instead, so much cheaper and so much more reliable when doing simple setups. I just can't fathom how it can be this bad. I have read forum posts from 4 years ago. Complaining of the same thing so clearly Google have invested incredibly little time in fixing these problems over the 4 years

Same here. Always takes 2 or 3 attempts for each device. So not understand why.

I agree!!  I recently purchased a Nest Hub Max and after literally hours of trying to set it up, I find that I am unable to change the time zone from PST to EST.  After endless searching on internet for a solution, I have just given up.  I don’t know why it has to be so Friggen complicated.  Again, Alexa, ONE app for all.  Come on Google, do better!!!!  This is ridiculous.
