Why can't NEST HUB play video from albums?

I love my Nest Hub Max.  I mostly use it as a digital picture frame as my family loves to look at the random pictures from all of our Google photos.  I just can't understand why a video can't be played as part of the rotation on the digital frame.  The device can play video.  They device has access to my albums where the video are.  What's the problem?  Sounds like it can be a firmware update.  Is there a plan for this?

When your Google Nest Hub or Google Nest Hub Max display isn't in use, it can quietly keep you entertained. You can add your favorite photos to Google Photos and display them in your Google Nest Photo Frame. However, playing a video stored in your Google Photos account is not available in Google Nest displays.
