Google home used to understand that the left back light was the same as the back left light. Is this a bug or a new feature?

Could you tell us more about what's happening with your device? Are you trying to control your lights using your Google Home speakers? Share more details so that we can assist.

Yes, I was trying to control lights in a room. There are also incorrect actions it repeatedly makes. In a room with back left and back right lights, it turns on the rear light in another room when I ask to turn on the back lights.

Hi there,
What brand of light do you have? When did it start happening? Also, have you tried relinking your lights from your Google Home app?
Thanks,
Alex

I removed home names that did not match the native app names. I relinked 13 of my 15 lights. The command for back lights now works correctly. It still does not understand left back refers to the back left light.

Hi Boomer,
Thanks for responding. Can you tell us what commads work and which are not? Also, can you please list down all the smart home devices that are linked to your Google Home?
Best,
Princess

Hi Boomer,
I appreciate all the details you've shared. Let's try to reboot the router simply by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes to refresh its network settings. I'll keep this thread open for few more days while you observe its behavior and let us know if you notice any changes or progress.
Best,
Princess
