Won’t play K-LOV (KLOVE) radio, why?

I have been able to listen to KLOV radio on my speaker forever! Now it will only play for 1 min and turns off. But other stations will play just fine. I have tried the following on all 3 of my speakers: forget device & added it back, factory rest, unplugged, as individual speakers and as a group. TuneIn will give me other stations or won’t play it. IHeart plays another station/doesn’t have it available. Why is this happening only with K-LOV (KLOVE) radio.?

I have gen 1 & gen 2 google mini/nest speakers. The issue started the beginning of December 2023.  iHeart radio gives me the country station from Texas as well. Yet, K-LOVE is listed as a station on the app/website. TuneIn plays the ads and then 30 seconds of the K-LOVE station and then stops playing. I have also tried listening to The Message on iHeart radio and it won’t play that either. Anything else that I ask for plays from both iHeart radio and TuneIn. What is the issue with Google and Christian stations?

I have same problem, and it plays the country music starting a month ago. I tried "Hey Google, play Klove on Tune In" and that worked.

All of a sudden today. Neither one of my Google homes will play K-Love I can get it on my phone on Pandora but I cannot get it on my Google Home either one of them.

yesterday

Mine started right after your latest downgrade. It use to do just fine and it does not mater what device I use it has the same result. wont play Air-1 and wont play k-love. if you tell it to play air one it says playing K LOVE then goes to some other station.... you tell it play K-love it plays some country station out of TX.  If you tell it to play some off the wall station seems ok with that just not the christian radio stations cant help but think something else is up here

Hi folks,

Thanks for the details you’ve shared. You can refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Google Nest speaker. If this did not work, try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.

Thanks, But tried that several times and still dont work. Something else I noticed is any time you tell it to play Air One it will play K-love for a couple of minutes then it plays a commercial right in the middle of a song and cuts off the station. SO to touch on your basis or theory WHY WOULD RESETTING THE DEVICE WORK WHEN THERE ARE MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE? If it was one device I could see the cut and paste solution you provided but its not just me or my device this is a global problem when you get multiple people chimin in on this saying there having the same issue??????

Seriously?! You have 50 comments stating the the problem. Instead, you use the troll approach: 1) ask lots of questions that seem applicable, 2) offer few concrete solutions, and 3) keep the Q&A cycle going. You might consider that the Google product is the problem.

Having the same issue on my mother's devices.

Having the same issue with my Google Hub Max and Google Hub displays.

When I say play KLove on iHeartRadio it used to work. Now it plays Country Legends 97.1 station.

If I say play KLove it goes to Audacy and plays The Loop Radio, before it used to open KLove on TuneIn.

Yes as stated above it does work for only a couple of minutes then an advertisement cuts into the middle of the song then cuts off the feed 30 seconds later as other users have stated it is happening the same to them.

This is a problem that many people are having. It is not related to each individual devise. It is a problem with Google and not allowing users to play K-LOVE radio. I am personally tired of having to deal with this, as it has been months since this problem started. Google,  fix whatever coding, updates, bug, or whatever issue is causing this!!

Found a workaround for this, just say "Play 88.9 from Raleigh". Enjoy! 🙂

Actually you don’t need to remember. Using the google home app you can create a Play Klove automation like I did. Wish you didn’t need to do that though.

Does it play through iHeartRadio or TunedIn? I have an automation setup using iHeartRadio for KLOVE but that pulls stupid country (as my kids call it)

Why will Google not play K-Love? I am reading all of these comments and it doesn't make sense to me. It seems that Google doesn't care about our issues with this. I have an Alexa and a Google Dot. Alexa has zero issues with this but for some reason Google refuses to play. I don't think that the admins at Google should be able to judge us on our listening choices. Why would Google not want to allow us to worship? I have done all of the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing has worked. Not really sure why Google is Religiously Discriminating the Christians of the world but I truly believe that this is an issue that needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY. If this issue continues I think I might just have to buy new Alexa devices and cancel my Google home app. and suggest that my Christian family does the same. I really wish that Google did not force our hand in this. This really upsets me to think that your devices refuse to let me worship God in my own home. I would really like a response to this but I doubt that I will receive one. good luck everyone. God Bless.
