Hi. I live in Mexico City, and last year they decided to cancel the Daylight Saving Time. We should have changed the time yesterday but it didn't happen. However, the time displayed on my Google Nest is one hour ahead now, as if it was DST, and I don't know how to get the right time. I asked the device and it told me the time zone depends on the address registered in the app. The address is correct, I haven't changed it and it still says Mexixo City. How can I fix that?

Hi Garisoain,
Sorry for the late response. I've seen that you have been assisted via email. I'll consider this post as complete and will lock the thread now. Feel free to start a new one if you need assistance with your Google Nest devices and the Community would gladly lend a hand.
Best,
Princess

Google:
Any news regarding the solution of this problem? Its been many months since los of people reported the wrong time bug in Chromecast devices. There's no firmware update that solves the problem and of course the bug is still there.
Today I had to move my 83 years old mother's TV with it's Chromecast and upon disconnecting it from the AC plug, the Chromecast settings went to the default date and time which are of course wrong.
She is not able to go into the device's settings and fix the time. I can't put in in "auto get the time from the network" because it will get the wrong time and thus the connection to the Internet doesn't work anymore.
Google, why are you so irresponsible with your customers and do not release a fix to this? Should be really easy to fix and distribute that solution... instead, you leave tons of angry customers with malfunctioning devices and with a very bad experience and opinion of Google branded gizmos.
Please fix this! Thanks.
