YouTube Music on display

For reasons beyond me my google display now says I need a YouTube Music subscription to play on multiple displays. This is the only display on the house, the others are just speakers and this has only just started happening. Just a few days  ago I could ask it to play music no problem. I don’t believe anything has been changed on it!

I know the feeling when you're having issues playing music on your Google Nest display. I'd like to dig deeper into this. To confirm, do you have a premium account with YouTube Music? Is the issue isolated with the Nest display only? What specific Nest Hub do you have (1st,2nd gen,Nest Hub Max)? What is the specific command that you're using?

 

Follow the steps below to check your subscription on YouTube Music app:

 

  1. Open the YouTube Music app and make sure you’re signed in.
  2. Tap your profile picture.
  3. Tap Purchases and memberships.
  4. Your YouTube memberships and subscriptions will be listed under the “Memberships” section.
  5. Your membership type and price will be listed directly underneath the name of the membership.
