camera on hub max not working

Every time I try to check the camera in Home app it says camera is offline. And when using a recipe and ask for next step it no longer takes you to next step. Google just shows you places named next step or says she doesn't understand, very frustrating!!

Hi dzales73,

 

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. Some questions: which Nest speakers and smart camera are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

 

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speaker, then your smart camera.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

 

For your recipe concern, try these commands and tell me the error message if there’s any:

 

  • “What is step 5”
  • “Go to step 5”, “Go to [first], [last] step"
  • “How many steps to go”
  • “Next step”
  • “Previous step”
