Nest Audio, I powered off all plugs as we were away on a holiday. Came back 3 weeks later, and tried to power on my nest audio but it doesn’t work. All original cable / adapter from Google was used from day 1.

- no light indicator once turned on.

Tried the following method:

unplugged from power outlet,

changed to wall outlets

plugged back in after 10 mins

still doesn’t work. Please assist.

Hello @Csswq,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that your Nest Audio no longer powers on after you powered off all plugs while you were away. I see that you have tried unplugging, waiting, and changing to different wall outlets, but there is still no light indicator, and the device remains unresponsive. Let me help you with this.

Step 1: Use a Different Wall Outlet (No Surge Protector)

  • Plug the speaker into a different wall outlet.
    • Note: Ensure the speaker is not connected to a surge protector, power strip, or extension cord, as these can sometimes prevent proper power delivery. Plug it directly into a standard wall outlet.
  • Check if any LED lights appear on the Nest Audio.

Step 2: Discharge the Speaker

This sequence completely drains any residual charge from the speaker and its power adapter:

  • Unplug both ends: Unplug the power adapter from both the wall outlet and the Nest Audio speaker.
  • Wait for Discharge: Leave the device completely unplugged for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Plug into Speaker: Plug the power adapter back into the Nest Audio speaker.
  • Plug into Wall: Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that you know is working.
  • Check again if any LED lights would appear on the speaker.

Step 3: Adapter Swap (If Applicable)

  • If you have a second, known-working Nest Audio or Google Home Max (with a compatible adapter), please use the power adapter from the one that currently works to plug into your unresponsive Nest Audio. This is the best way to confirm if your original adapter is the point of failure.

Please try these steps and let me know if the Nest Audio finally shows a light or powers on.

Regards,

Kevin
