google home mini not letting me set up

i factory reset my google home mini because of a previous issue and now when i try logging back into it i get hit with this message. i physically cant go further than the, set up google assistant, page. this is right after connecting to the wifi. 

this is the error message i get. please can someone help. i also tried talking to google support and they said they’d email me back but i swear its been 2 months and i still haven’t heard back. atp im really frustrated and i just wna listen to music 😭

  • Could you please indicate the language settings for both your Google Home app and your mobile device? Please let me know if they are different or the same, and also if they have different regional variations, e.g., English (US), English (UK), etc.
  • Have you updated the Google Home app to the latest version?

hey yea that seemed to be the issue. i had my language in iphone settings as english australia and on the google home app i had language as english canada. so yea i just made them the same language and deleted the google home app, factory reset my google home and pared it up again. that did the trick tysmmm
