We are a family of 4, with 2 kids nearly teens. We have a spotify premium family account - only wife and I are members, not kids. when kids use nest hub (in kitchen) to play music, it defaults to my spotify account.
problem occurs when I want to play my own music with spotify either somewhere else in the house or away (ie car), whereby I can select and play what spotify music I want, until the kids ask the nest to play what they want, so my music then stops, until I reselect the device of my choice.....and so the battle ensues between me and the kids - yes - I end up listening to nothing!
How can this be resolved, noting I'm loathe to give kids full family member access to google home yet?
I'm thinking this is a pretty common issue, yet I cant find suitable published solutions. Thanks in anticipation of reading the silver bullet solution!

Hi SaltyCdog,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. You can add your kid’s account as a home member so they can add their profile and play music using their account. Check out the helpful link below to learn more about it.
Let your child use Google Assistant on your devices
Regards,
