how do I determine which google account my hub max is linked to?
I'm at this point in my endeavor to find out how to get Hulu to display on my Hub Max.
One thought is that my hub might be working through my personal gmail account and not my family gmail account, however this does not seem to a problem for Netflix and Disney+
On my iphone, in the Google Home app I have linked my Hulu account under the video (along with linking Netflix and Disney+ which both work ok).
But the Hub Max just won't recognise that I have a linked account.
Any other advice of how to get my Hulu working on my Hub Max?
Using the Hulu app on my iphone doesn't even give me the option to cast to the Hub Max, whereas the Disney+ and Netflix apps do.
Thank you!

Hi @camel2969
I don't have iOS but on Android within the Home app you can tap on the Hub.
Go to Settings --> Recognition and sharing --> Linked accounts 🙂

Hi. Thanks for the replies, but….doesn’t help. My settings shows literally nothing under linked accounts.
Settings --> Recognition and sharing --> Linked accounts > “nothing”
However, after some research I understand it’s a long known issue with Hulu on Google displays; both not recognizing Hulu for live TV and for some movies/tv shows Google replies “you need a premium account to display that”, when there actually isn’t a premium account option with Hulu, and Hulu tells me I have the most ’premium’ account they have no idea why Google gives that response for some movies and shows. (I’m sure somebody at Google/Hulu knows but finding or getting access to that source is probably expecting too much when I see the long history of upset Hulu subscribers on Hulu community forum).

Hi camel2969,
Thanks for the response. This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. Did you try casting using the Hulu app and check if you will get the same message? You can unlink and relink Hulu, then observe if this will make a difference. Check the steps below.
Unlink video apps
Link video apps
Some video apps require you to link the app account to your Google Account:
Let me know how it goes.

Juni

Hi.
Unfortunately I did all you suggest earlier without success. I can still only verbally request the Google Hub Max to play some Hulu movies and TV shows, but no live TV.
Regarding casting from an iOS device, either my iPhone or iPad, yes this works fine, and is my current (inconvenient) method. I can cast everything from Hulu, live TV, movies, tv shows.
I can successfully verbally request anything from Netflix and Disney+ (which are obviously also linked in the Google home app).
So I would say that Hulu can only be ‘partially’ linked to the Google Home app, and it seems to be a long known problem but nobody (is it a Google or a Hulu fault?) seems to be addressing it. It’s surprising as many in the Hulu community forum have switched from YouTubeTV (like myself) and are frustrated by this problem such that they cancel Hulu (at least their Hulu live TV subscription) and return to YouTubeTV. The conspiracy theorists suggest this is exactly what Google wants and hence are not putting in the effort in to fix the problem. Who actually knows?!

Hi camel2969,
Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Just an added question: have you tried to call Hulu to check if their live TV can stream directly from a third-party device like Google Nest Hub display?
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi
