Last year I bought two mini speakers for my father to play an Irish music station. It made him happy!
About six months ago, it stopped playing when asked "Hey, Google, play Radio Kerry" and then we had to say "Hey Google, play Radio Kerry on Tune-In" and that worked for a while. (it occurred on both speakers, though I rebooted and reset. It still works fine on Alexa.)
Now it's getting a bit iffy on that working on the first or second try. Given that there is a bit of a brogue issue, I wanted to set up a routine to shorten that and get the right station fist off.
But I've tried to input "Play Radio Kerry on Tune-In" on the app, and it doesn't recognize the station. There aren't call numbers, and it's a foreign station (we're in New York). I've done a general search and can't figure out how to word the routine command to get the right station to play.
Any advice available?
Thanks!

Hi,
Try creating a routine with this:
starter : "Ok google, My radio".
Action : Play the radio > "Radio Kerry on tune in" .

Replay/Princess,
Thanks for the suggestion!
Oddly, when I say "Hey Google, play my station" she says that she does not recognize that song. But then I wait about thirty seconds and she starts playing Radio Kerry!
So it works, even if a bit oddly.
Dad is pleased at least!
Thanks for the suggestion!

Great! "Play my Radio/station" is just a starter for the routine. You can replace it with anything that does not have "play" in it so not to "confuse" Google. e.g. " Hey google, My radio"

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the update. Glad that it's already working on your end. I appreciate both of you @mtkth and @Replay for sharing some steps as this would also be helpful to others who are also experiencing the same thing.
I'll consider this post as complete and will lock the thread in 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread if you need any assistance with your Google Nest devices.
Cheers,
Princess

Sorry--meant to accept Replay's solution, not my own!
