please log in through the google home app

Hi, I have two Nest Minis (2nd gen) that used to be paired and worked great. After I recently disconnected them from the power supply, I have not been able to have them work as a pair again. The Home app shows them paired, but one responds fine, and the other always says "please log in through the Google Home app". I have taken the following steps to no avail. 

  • I have unpaired them and paired them again
  • I have changed their names (Nest Mini 1 to Left Mini, for example)
  • I have made sure both Nest Minis are on the same WiFi and in the same Home app room
  • The phone is also on the same WiFi and have restarted it multiple times
  • I have factory reset both Nest Minis
  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Home app
  • I have deleted my Home app profile and reconnected it again
  • Both Nest Minis work fine independently when they are not paired

At this point I am out of options and cannot figure out why the Nest Minis no longer work as a pair.
