"Something's not right" - Google Nest Hub

Flick92
Community Member

I've no idea why, but yesterday my Hub stopped working. I've factory reset the device, unplugged it, reinstalled the hub on my home app and I still can't resolve the issue.

At the moment the Hub just displays a screen saying "connected", but if I say "Hey Google" she says "Sorry, something's not right. If it's still like this in a few minutes you can troubleshoot in the Google home app".

It's been much longer than a few minutes so any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Flick92,

Thank you for reachig out and sorry for the late response.

A few things I'd like to ask so we can sort this thing out -- can you tell me how far is the Google Nest Hub from your router? Also, are there other Google Home/Nest speakers connected on the same network?

Since you've already tried rebooting the device, let's perform a complete reset on your Google Nest Hub making sure that you will set it up withing range from your router, preferably within 10-15 feet. Also, let's try to use a different set up device to see if this would make any changes on its behaviour.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Pricess

Hi everyone,

@AlphaLzr,  thanks for letting us know. Could you tell me the troubleshooting steps you've done so far? Could you factory reset your Google Nest Hub? Here's how: Factory reset Google Nest or Home speakers or displays

Keep us posted.

Regards,

Dan

Yes I have tried resetting my wifi router, turning on and off both the router and my nest, and I have tried factory resetting the Google nest. None of which have worked

Hey AlphaLzr,

Thanks for trying. In order for us to eliminate any network issues, please try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot. Please note you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other used to set up your Nest Hub).

Keep us posted.

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi there,

How was your device? Have you had the chance to try connecting it to a mobile hotspot?

The problem seems to have magically disappeared, but if it ever returns I will try that and come back here. Thankyou for your support!
