I need some help figuring out what's preventing me from connecting my daughter's apple music account to her Google Home app.
From her phone, I go through all the steps as directed. Once the sign-in to Apple to link the Apple Music account is done, I should get a button to confirm linking the apple music account to Google, but instead it goes directly from submitting the apple login credentials back to Google Home and I get a "Something went wrong. Try again" error at the bottom of the screen.
I have tried many times, through both the Google Home and Google Assistant apps on her iOS device. I've even tried logging in as her on my iPhone, thinking perhaps her older phone was limited because it's too old for the latest version of iOS.
I've tried changing passwords on both Google and Apple, as another forum post suggested.
My older daughter and I both have our apple music accounts linked to our google home apps, and both of our household's Google Home Minis are able to play music from our Apple Music libraries. I don't understand what is different about the accounts for me second daughter.
Any help will be appreciated. I've been trying for the last few days and have exhausted all suggestions I could find online.
Thanks,
Brad

I got it figured out, after 2 hours on phone with Apple Support and another hour on the phone with Google Nest support, it turns out the issue was that my daughter’s Apple ID was showing her age was under 13. Once that was corrected, the Apple Music connected to Google Home just fine.
So long story short: kids under 13 can’t connect Apple Music to Google Home.

Me aswell. I scrolled through many specialist responses and still can’t come to a conclusion. I don’t know what to do. (I have a google nest).

So we found the problem with the help of Apple support.

Thanks for the suggestion, Willmrk. I hadn’t thought of that. Sadly, there are no apps with access listed to remove in my daughter’s Apple Music account when I follow your directions. To check, I looked at mine and I do see where they should be listed as mine is there.
Any other thoughts?

Hello folks,
My apologies for the late response here. I know how it feels when you're having issues linking your daughter's Apple Music account to the Google Home app. A few questions: Is this the first time that you're linking your daughter's Apple Music account to the Google Home app? Is your child using a child-supervised account? Have you tried using an Android device?
@Willmrk: Thanks for helping here.
Looking forward to your response.
Cheers,
Muddi

I’d suggest calling Apple support. They are great at resolving issues over the phone using screen sharing.
