"your google home device hasn't been set up yet, please download the google home app...
I've had google home for about 4-5 years now, but since a couple of weeks some of my devices start giving this response when I ask something: "your google home device hasn't been set up yet, please download the google home app...".
I can still stream music or change volume on the speaker via the app, so it's still connected to the app.
Restarting the speaker usually solves the problem. Same with removing the speaker from the house and re-adding it afterwards.
But the problem keeps returning... sometimes already after half an hour.
Restarting the router also doesn't solve the issue.
How do i solve this permanently?
My setup:
1 nest hub max
1 google home regular speaker
2 google home minis
Tado smart thermostats (4)
Hue Lights (29)
Daikin Smart AC (3)
Nest doorbell

Hey Driftertom,
Thanks for posting — let's check what's going on with your device.
A few questions: is it happening to all your Google Home or Google Nest speakers? Are there any recent changes on your network or set up before it happened? Also, how frequently does the device unlink (daily, weekly, etc.)
Could you check your Google Home App feed history to see if there is any recorded activity of your device being unlinked from the Google Home app. Also, please provide us the cast firmware version of your affected device.
Best,
Alex
