trying to connect hub to apartment shared Wifi -

I know I need to set up an internal LAN to separate me from the community but what is the best (read: easiest) to set up? The one I have a BROTREND has to connect to the computer and I'd rather not have to go through it since we haven't yet obtained a desk and my Mom is really missing her Google.

Hello lauralee,

Thank you for reaching out, I appreciate your patience! I would be more than happy to help look into this question.

First, apartment/shared Wi-Fi networks are not officially supported by Google Home devices, so they may or may not work with this type of network, it is not guaranteed.

We recommend that you reach out to the network administrator and ask if they can register/add manually the Nest Hub's MAC address to the router as this may help resolve the issue. However, as stated above, since it is a shared network, this is not guaranteed to work.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
