When I don't use it background (for example, while playing games on the console), it turns off after half an hour to save energy, but it also turns off the TV. Isn't there a setting with different options like on android devices?

Hi Hakanu,
Thanks for reaching out. Is this only happening when you're playing or even when you're watching a video on your Chromecast with Google TV? Could you please check your TV settings and see if it has an energy saver or sleep mode option? If it's on, turn it off and observe the behavior.
If the issue persists, please reboot your Chromecast and plug it in on a different HDMI port on your TV.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hello,
android tv boxes/sticks have more than one cec option, google tv device has only "on and off", for example if I set energy saving for 1 hour, device turns off 1 hour later, but this also turns off the tv because of this limited cec setting. Maybe an update comes later about this. Thank you, waiting for now 🙂
this was the solution to turning off problem (second from bottom)

Hello Hakanu,
Thanks for sharing that in the Community. I'd suggest you send feedback about this using the Google Home app. Every bit of feedback helps a ton. Here's how.

I wrote them, i hope they do somethings in next update. About options and interface, I still can't believe , why this latest generation google tv is worse than 2 years old android tv 😞
