I can't search for apps on my Chromecast with Google TV (HD). Every time I search for something the machine says "Sorry, something went wrong"
I have rebooted multiple times.
Internet connection is fine, youtube works, netflix works.
I can install apps that are recommended on the app landing page.
But search does not work.

Try changing your system language to English (United States).

Thanks but i cannot change the language, I need to use it in my language. App search should work that way 🙂

The device is at my parents house, which is far from my place. I will try when I get to them, idk when. But I still need a fix for this, even if it works in English, as I said, I cannot use it in that language.

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast device. Let's sort this out.
A few questions: Are you using the Google Assistant on the Voice Remote to search for an app? Is this only happening in one app or across all apps? What voice command are you using?
In the meantime, please remove and/or train your voice through Voice Match in the Google Home app. Also, please plug in the Chromecast into a different HDMI port on your TV and reboot your Wi-Fi router.

Thanks for the message. This happens only when I search apps in the App Store. I tried both ways, voice command and also by typing, neither worked, regardless of the word (for example: Netflix).
I tried your fixes but it didn't work, and I can't change the language to english. Any other ideas?

Hi, I think there might be a bug with the localization. When I change my system to English, the search for apps works. When I change it back to Finnish (Suomi), it stops working.

Thanks for sharing your resolution here - it's a big help! To confirm, do you have an option to change it to Finland (English)? If yes, please try switching the device language so we can confirm that it's a locale issue.
