Bonjour,

Hi nolyfr,
Thank you for posting in the community! I understand that you're having trouble pairing your Google remote with your Chromecast (model NC2-6A5). I appreciate you confirming that you can currently cast from your Samsung S24 Ultra, as well as the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken. I am happy to clarify how these two devices work together.
Based on the information you provided, I was able to identify that you are using a Chromecast (3rd gen). This model was designed for casting from a phone or computer and does not have the hardware required to support a Bluetooth remote. The Google TV Remote was created for newer models, such as the Chromecast with Google TV (HD or 4K) and the Google TV Streamer (4K).
If you would like to use a remote control for your Chromecast (3rd gen), you can enable your smartphone to act as a virtual remote by following these steps:
You can also refer to this Google Help Center article for more information: Use your phone as the remote for your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer.
Please keep me posted if you have any further questions!
Best regards,
Virna
