Brand new Chromecast with Google TV. When trying to cast from both the Xfinity Stream app and from a PC browser, it doesn't work. It connects, even puts up the splash screen of the show I'm trying to cast, but just get 3 dots and never starts playing. Same behavior from both the Xfinity Stream app (Android) and from the PC browser (Chrome). Anyone have any suggestions?
It's quite disappointing because my idea was to replace an Xfinity TV box with the Chromecast but if this doesn't work, there's no point!

A few questions: Are you getting any messages when casting from this app? Is this only happening with the Xfinity Stream app or across all apps? Is the video playing problem-free on the device (phone or computer), when not casting?

Thank you Jennifer. Strangely, all the problem disappeared within 2 days without me doing anything and everything is working fine now. I don't quite understand it but will take the good news.
