Bug with pairing bluetooth headset in HD version. Pairs fine in 4K

Chromecast HD can't pair Soundcodr Life Q30 Bluetooth headset.

It finds the device without problems, but when you click on it, it just says pairing... for about a minute before it says "Couldn't pair".

This issue has been confirmed by others, it's not only me. E.g here: https://www.reddit.com/r/anker/comments/y2p8tq/soundcore_q30_chromecast_with_google_tv_hd/

It's been like this since it was released, the few updates it received did not help.

The issue only applies to Chromecast HD. It pairs without problem on the original 4K Chromecast.

I don't know how this can be reported to Google, so I'm trying here.

Hi JamesT2,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Although not all Bluetooth devices are compatible with Chromecast with Google TV due to its Bluetooth 4.2 specifications, kindly check if the latest update helped. A rollout for the new Android TV OS build, STTL.231114.004, has been released for both versions (4K and HD). Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy
