Looking for assistance!
I've accomplished standard trouble shooting (i.e., reset app on TV and phone, networks, reinstall, etc) and nothing fixes my issue.
When I select the "cast" button through the Google Home area in my phone, the image loads to my TV but freezes instant upon showing up in the TV screen.
Anyone experience this and/or know the fix?
Thanks.

Hey there Zippo_140,
I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast built-in is freezing up! This issue could be caused by a few things, so I'd be happy to help out. First, make sure that the Google Home app and the TV's firmware are both up-to-date. Then, I would clear out the cached app data from the Google Home app. Finally, I would cast from another app, such as YouTube, to see if the problem isolated to the Google Home app, or all apps.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

Jeran,
Thanks for the response and help. Below is the troubleshooting I've done with no success.
1. I'm not sure how to check the firmware on the apps, but if that's the same as checking if the app is updated, I did that.
2. I cleared the data and cache for both the Google Home app on my phone and the Chromecast Built-in app on my TV.
3. I've used casting from other applications, i.e., YouTube, and no issues.
4. I even used my wife's Google Home app to cast to my TV and had the same issue.
After doing this, I still believe it's the TV's Chromecast Built-in app but I don't know anything else to do.
My phone has Andriod version 12 and according to the "learn more" about Chromecast Built-in, version 8 or later should work. Just stuck...

Bryan

Hey there Zippo_140,
I'm sorry about the late response on this, thank you for being patient! The next thing to try is factory resetting the Sony X950G if you haven't already. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to reach out to Sony Support to see if they are aware of any issues that they are aware of.
Best regards,
Jeran

I've factory reset the TV with no luck. I will attempt to get a quick video of what's occurring and post it, if possible.
Seems I will have to contact Sony.

Hey there Zippo_140,
That's no good to hear. Yes, in this case it would be wise to reach out to Sony Support since Chromecast built-in is open-source software. Sony may have specific troubleshooting, or perhaps would be aware of any issues with your device.
Let us know if you had any other questions, we'd be happy to help out where we can.
Thank you,
Jeran
