Hi!
I just got Chromecast 4.0. It was bought solely for purpose of casting desktop.
I've connected it to 5ghz wifi (router is ax86u, more than capable).
My PC has 4k monitor.
Trying to cast 4k desktop to chromecast results in unbearable experience - eye-balling it to around 15 - 20fps. The only smooth experience is when I lower my desktop resolution to 1080p.
Am I missing something? 4k, even 2k is behaving exactly in same way as my old chromecast 2.0 (which was reason I bought newer model).
Windows 11. Doesn't matter if HDR is on or off, doesn't matter what settings I choose for resolution in device.
Is this device not capable of casting such resolutions?

Additional note: I connected it using ethernet cable with third party adapter, which surprise surprise, didn't change it at all. 2k is slightly smoother, however 4k is just garbage.
I checked also on MacOS to rule out win 11 issues - same deal, 4k cast is looking more like slideshow.
Is there a solution for this or should I just return it?
Honestly, I just returned Shield TV as it was tricky to setup just desktop cast. I did that and I'm furious because Nvidia at least casted it in 60fps. Chromecast is not even close..
