Can Google Photos stream 4K photos and videos to the Chromecast 4K?

Everytime I connect the Google Photos app to my 4K TV through Cast, the content is not good at all.

Is the Chromecast 4K able to stream 4K content from Google Photos?

The content has been uploaded to Google Photos in the original resolution, which in this case is 4K.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. If you're using a Chromecast with Google TV (4K), then it should be able to cast 4K content. Try with other apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, etc., and if it plays 4K content, then you may need to troubleshoot the Google Photos app. Try to clear the cache and data. Check if there’s an available update, or you can reinstall the app instead. Also, ensure that your Chromecast device is up-to-date, or you can do a full clean-up by performing a factory reset and setting it up from scratch to remove any corrupted files or data. Sure, will check that. Is there a way to validate that the content is being played on Chromecast in 4K? Any suggestion?

Thanks for the reply. It can be checked from the menu of the actual app (Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, etc.) that you’re playing the content with. Keep us posted.
