I was away for a week and left the TV unplugged. When I came back home and turned the TV on my Chromecast device did not turn on automatically. I tried to reconnect through Home app. My Samsung phone finds the device, asks if I want to set it up but then the TV does not show the connection code. The screen just stays black. I tried to unplug the router, reset the modem, reboot Chromecast, checked the devices on the same network, checked the Chromecast is powered on. I did not change any WIFI settings, did not move my router.
I feel I tried everything. What have I not done or what am I doing wrong?
Please help!

Hi there,
Thanks for the help here, lSawl.
EA3791, did you try to reset your Chromecast as per advised by lSawl? If yes, how was it? You can also try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone Settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
Thanks,
Jennifer
