After the last update of Google Streamer I got the following issues. When I turn off the TV or the Google Streamer, everything is shut off. But after a couple of seconds, the streamer turns on the TV again and continues the streaming. I tried to turn the streamer off several Times but its always starts up the TV again and continues the streaming. The workaround I have found is to first stop the actual streaming app, go back to home and then turn off Google Streamer. Only then it actually stays off.

Thanks @Anders_br , Over the last 6 months or so I've been having the same problem with a TV connected via HDMI CEC to a Chromecast 4k turning back on at random times. I'll have to do some experiments to see if it's the same issue that you're having.

Hi,
It seems as it only happens if I casting a stream from another device (e. g my phone} to the Google Streamer and then turns off the Streamer without stopping the cast on the device.

Hi Anders_br,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast is turning on by itself if you try to turn off the TV. Don't worry, I'm here to help.
Based on the information you shared with us, remember that you might have set up the remote control to turn off the TV and not the Chromecast, so whenever you stop using it, it is recommended to stop casting and tap the Cast button Disconnect, because if not, your TV will detect that content is still being played on the HDMI port and will keep turning on. You can test this by stopping casting and disconnecting your phone from the Chromecast.
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.
Regards,
Kevin
